Reply from Groupon

This came in my email last week. I only saw it when I checked my email this morning.


If you guys are lazy to click on the image, I've copied out the message and pasted it below for the globe to read.

Hi Wai Leng,

We have read through your review on your dissatisfaction towards your purchase to MON MEILL's jewellery via Groupon Malaysia. Please accept our sincerest apology as our deal did not meet your expectations. I have already forwarded your comments to all involved parties.

We truly apologise that the item(s) did not reach you at the promised dates. Due to a high number of duplicates and a high number of customers redeeming this Groupon, we understand that it took a while for the item(s) to be shipped out. After much discussion with Mon Meill, there were about 90 parcels out of the 3,000 parcels that were sent out by Mon Meill, was returned to sender (Mon Meill in Hong Kong), due to wrong destination address and/or no recipient. No worries, we assure you that for this current deal, we have already improvised in our delivery system with Mon Meill.

Upon the arrival of your package, we are very sorry for the dent. It is beyond our means to compensate you with a new gift box but we can offer you a RM5 token which will be placed into your Groupon account and can be redeemed through your future Groupon purchases worth more than RM10. Rest assured, this will not occur again as for the re-feature, Mon Meill will proceed to bubble wrap all the packages before mailing them out. We are improving for the better so as to prevent such cases from happening again.

On another note, should you still feel otherwise do write in to us at support@groupon.my. We would appreciate it if you could send us a picture of the flawed area to your purchase and we will take the necessary action from there.
As mentioned by Mon Meill on our discussion page (http://www.groupsmore.com/cities/multiple-cities/deals/mon-meill--4/comments), they have clarified that "The material of MON MEILL product (non zirconia part) is made of 925 sterling silver PLATED with 18-karat white gold and the stone is made with SWAROVSKI ZIRCONIA. The use of PLATED 18K white gold is to lessen the chance of silver from being oxidized." We hope this helps clarify your doubt.

Also, "The use of a special tag ‘Made with SWAROVSKI ZIRCONIA’ is a symbol of identification for the SWAROVSKI ZIRCONIA. Each SWAROVSKI ZIRCONIA has laser inscribed word engraved on the surface. The new microscopic laser engraving is a special sign of authenticity. This can be viewed under professional microscope."Furthermore, kindly be advised that MON MEILL has already given the cooperation agreement with SWAROVSKI GEMS to Groupon Malaysia. MON MEILL co-operates with SWAROVSKI GEMS in the sense that MON MEILL set its products with SWAROVSKI ZIRCONIA.

We sincerely apologize if you felt that our deal offer is misleading or deluding, and we greatly appreciate all of your honest feedback. It is never our intention to cheat any of our customers at all as we love to see our customers enjoying our deals.

Your feedback is very valuable to us as it will definitely assist us in becoming better at what we do. As a young company we are always looking for ways to improve your experience and will do our best to make sure this doesn't happen again. It is our goal to retain you as a satisfied customer and we hope to serve you again in the near future.

I have yet to reply them as I'm a little busy with something else at the moment. But the next screen shot ... I'll leave it to you guys to interpret.

  2. In the email, Groupon mentioned about a RM5 to be placed into my account but it never happened. And I read in their subsequent promotion via Groupsmore there were equally many complains.

I just received it few days ago for the ring....very very disappointed as the actual product do not looks shinning as on web site...besides, its different too....the ring showed on web site there were 6 pcs of "stand" to hold the so called STONE, but actual product received was only 4 pcs of "stand".....i think with the price paid easily can get a nicer and cheaper at any shopping complex or even night market....GROUPON....plz block this kinda products or company....or else i wont shop again using GROUPON...coz i rather pay more n shop by seing the REAL product
